Faculty and administrative staff

Are you a teacher, researcher or administrative staff member from a foreign university? Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University welcomes international faculty and administrative staff members within the framework of specific programmes.

Visiting professorship programme

Every year, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University welcomes more than 120 professors from foreign institutions, as part of its visiting professorship programme.

During your stay (from one week to four weeks), you will have to teach, conduct research, lead conferences, develop exchanges between Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and your institution and/or set up any other educational or scientific project.

How to apply

In order to be invited to teach at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, you need to find a hosting professor who will present your application to the advisory board (CCS) of his/her academic department. To do so, you will need to send him/her a detailed CV mentioning your home institution.

The list of visiting professors and the duration of their stay are drawn up on the proposal of the advisory board, and after the decision of the academic board (CAC restreint). If your application is accepted, your hosting professor will be in charge of the follow-up of your stay.

Once you have been accepted

You will receive an invitation letter once you have been accepted. To prepare your stay as well as possible, we encourage you to get in touch with the International Relations Department as soon as possible, which will be in charge of paying your flat-rate compensation. This compensation will partially cover your expenses during your stay (accommodation and food costs).
