Panthéon-Sorbonne International Summer School 2023

The Panthéon-Sorbonne International Summer School is a two-week online programme which will take place between 18th June and 6th July 2023. Coordinated by the International Relations Department of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, it is not only open to students from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne but also from all other universities around the world.

Online courses

Course 1: Environmental & Energy Law

(20 hours)

18th-22nd June 2023

In addition to covering the features, sources, and effective implementation of environmental law, this course will examine the impact of energy on international relations and the legal frameworks established by international organisations to regulate environmental protection and energy use. It will also focus on different energy sectors and cover the conflicts and disputes related to energy.

Course 2: International Public Law

(20 hours)

2nd-6th July 2023

This course will cover the sources of international law and the legal principles and norms that govern the relations between states, international organisations, and individuals. Students will learn about topics such as state jurisdiction, international responsibility, the settlement of disputes, the use of force in international law, environment and natural resources, and international economic governance.
