First Europaeum scholars programme module in Oxford

Thirty European scholars have been selected to be part of this new programme, designed to produce a new generation of leaders, thinkers and researchers to shape the future of Europe. They will be meeting and working together in several modules over the next two years.

Two students Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University have been selected as part of the 2018-2020 programme. Céleste Bonnamy is a PhD candidate and teaching assistant in Political Science at Panthéon-Sorbonne University and the Université Libre de Bruxelles, while Andrei Petre is a PhD student in Civil Law at Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

The selected scholars had the opportunity to meet experts from several European institutions and governments and to hear from eminent scholars on different topics such as the Brexit. They also took part in a workshop on altruistic leadership and heard from leading thinkers on new ways of thinking about sustainability and the importance of empathy. The participation of teaching fellows from the universities of Oxford, Leiden and St Andrews helped to guide scholars through debates on these subjects.

The next and second module will be held in Brussels from 18th to 23rd March 2018.
