Alliance Program: 17 grantees from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne to support transatlantic research

Following the calls for applications launched at the end of 2024, 17 faculty members and doctoral students from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, representing a wide range of disciplines, have been selected to carry out joint projects or benefit from mobility opportunities at Columbia University. These collaborations are part of the Alliance Program and will take shape during the 2025–2026 academic year.

Annual opportunities to structure cooperation with Columbia University

A cornerstone of academic cooperation between Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the United States, the Alliance Program has been supporting collaborative research and mobility initiatives between Columbia University and its three French partners – Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, École Polytechnique, and Sciences Po – for over twenty years.

The 2024 calls for applications were marked by the launch of a new call for joint projects specifically dedicated to climate issues, open to faculty members from all disciplines. This initiative complements existing opportunities: visiting professorship, joint projects, trilateral initiatives in emerging regions (T.I.E.R.) projects, and doctoral mobility.
