Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne renews partnership with Tianjin University

On 24th May, a delegation from Tianjin University, China, visited the Maison internationale of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University to officialise the renewal of the academic partnership that the two institutions established several years ago.

Christine Neau-Leduc, President of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and Jin Donghan, President of Tianjin University, signed an agreement to extend educational and scientific cooperation between their two universities. Representatives from the Institute of Research and Higher Studies in Tourism (IREST) and the Sorbonne School of Art History and Archaeology (EHAAS) took part in the meeting to discuss future actions to be carried out with the academic departments, including research activities.

This renewal will enable each year several French and Chinese students, from undergraduate to doctoral levels, to benefit from exchange mobility within the partner institution, in one of the subject areas common to both universities. This opportunity will be offered to Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne students in the autumn, when the call for applications for non-Erasmus+ mobilities is launched.

The cooperation between Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Tianjin University, which dates back to over fifteen years ago, has made it possible to launch a number of initiatives such as seminars, conferences, joint publications, thesis work in the field of architecture history, as well as student exchanges in management, history, geography, art history and architecture.
