Vietnam : Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne signs an agreement with UEL
On 3rd July, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University welcomed a delegation from the University of Economics and Law (UEL) to formalise a multidisciplinary cooperation agreement. This partnership represents a new milestone for the university and contributes to strengthening academic exchanges between France and Vietnam.
Professor Hoàng Công Gia Khánh, President of UEL, and Professor Christine Neau-Leduc, President of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, highlighted the mutual benefits this new partnership brings to both institutions, while reaffirming the importance of academic cooperation between France and Vietnam. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding and a student exchange agreement were signed, laying the ground for student mobility starting in September 2026.
Outgoing student mobility from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne will be open to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students in the following academic fields: economics, law, management, mathematics and computer science. In parallel, selected UEL students will have the opportunity to study at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne as part of the exchange programme.
This partnership is fully aligned with the university’s international strategy, which aims to strengthen collaborations with higher education institutions across Asia. During its participation in the 2025 edition of the APAIE (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education) annual conference, held last March in New Delhi, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University initiated promising discussions with several institutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
