Educational innovation takes centre stage at the OpenU international conference

In the framework of the OpenU project, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Université de Rennes 1 organised together the international scientific conference "Experimenting with Online Pedagogical Resources for European Universities" on 13th and 14th October at the Maison des Universités, in Paris.

During two days, about a hundred academics, researchers and stakeholders from different disciplines presented their practices, academic experiences and strategic priorities through six plenary sessions and two thematic round tables. These contributions addressed a wide range of topics such as creativity in education, digital technology in universities, student engagement, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, as well as international and inter-university collaboration. A total of 44 European institutions were represented in this event.

The international conference concluded the experimentation process organised throughout the OpenU project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and coordinated by Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Its aim is to support the transferability of innovative practices and the sharing of good practices, knowledge and experiences in higher education and its digitalisation.

The research and proposals presented at the conference will be published in the online journal Education Sciences. The priorities and results discussed during the sessions will additionally be integrated into the project's policy recommendations, which will be disseminated at the OpenU closing event in Brussels on 14th November.
