The OpenU project draws to a close in Brussels
On Monday 14th November 2022, over 20 partners gathered in Brussels to participate in the dissemination of the OpenU project's policy recommendations. This event, organised by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), marked the final stage of a four-year-long collaboration on the theme of educational innovation in European higher education.
Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the OpenU project has brought together over a hundred European higher education and research professionals to encourage, support and facilitate the development of innovative pedagogical practices. The project has helped strengthen knowledge sharing models through the creation of a digital platform called BLOOM at the European level and the development of a scientific community.
During the last meeting with the European OpenU partners, the ministries involved presented the strategic perspectives resulting from the project to higher education stakeholders and experts. Following an overview of the national ministerial guidelines, the meeting allowed the participants to familiarise themselves with the European policy recommendations and to support actions to encourage ownership of the project results.
The funding of the OpenU project will end in December 2022 but the involvement of Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne will go on, notably through the alliance of European universities Una Europa and the commitment of key partners in the project's continuation.
